Cambridge pre-wedding portrait photography | Cambridge portraits | Anna and Owen

A latte and some great winter sunlight were a perfect recipe for a fun time out and about in Cambridge city centre shooting this pre-wedding photo session for Anna and Owen. This is not my usual patch, so at a request from Anna, who went to University in Cambridge and has strong links to the city I packed my bags and headed off for what turned out to be a really productive couple of hours.

We started photographing in the grounds of St John's College and then moved around town, stopping for a coffee at a fab little café outside Kings College.

Trying to avoid being run over by the many cyclists that tear through the city centre like worker ants is a skill in itself, but eventually we finished up down a tight little side street for a few final head-shots. All in all, I am pretty chuffed with my first pre-wedding shoot on the streets of a busy Cambridge city centre. I hope you guys had fun and I looking forward to the wedding day itself in April down in the Cotswold's.

 

 

Madingly Hall wedding photography | Cambridge wedding | Yukie & Nick

This was my first visit to shoot a wedding at Madingly Hall in Cambridgeshire, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. Madingly Hall is a wonderful looking building and the gardens are a joy to photograph in. The many nooks and cranies give a great variety to the couple portraits and a beautiful clear day brought out all the colour and contrast that I look for in my wedding photography.

Yukie and Nick were a dream to photograph and even came up with a few ideas of their own, which helped personalize their images. I thought Nick would be a nervous groom but he settled into his role with ease and was not really fazed by being the centre of attention in his part of a double act!

They had it all....champagne, glorious weather, beautiful venue, excited guests......and me to photograph it all (everyone else was booked up).

Madingly Hall is a superb venue for a wedding, especially on such a beautiful day.

I just love the expressions on this image of Yukie arriving with her father.

The croquet seemed to go down very well and I think a few wagers were put down.
