Hertfordshire wedding photographer | Hayley and James

I have been meaning to post a few images from Hayley and James's wedding that was shot a little while ago. It had sort of slipped through the net (I'll blame the fact that I was snowed under-sorry). I love these images and may well pick a couple to enter in an upcoming competition.

They were married at the quaint little church of St Mary's in Stevenage, followed by a marquee reception a couple of miles away in the quiet village of Walkern. St. Mary's is the very church where I cut my teeth on my first full wedding, all of 27 years ago. I photographed Hayley's stepfather's (and an old school pal) wedding there in those early days so this makes me feel really old. I have also made a promise that if I ever end up photographing a third generation wedding day from their family, that I would do so free of charge. You heard it here first and you now have it in writing! :-)

Hayley is a fun girl and totally on my wavelength when it comes to her sense of humour....well, she laughed uncontrollably at my jokes so that was a good start! James was more cool, thoughtful and reserved, but was up for trailing across the fields to get that killer image. So to you both, I thank you for not only seeing the images that I had inside my head and going with the flow, but for putting up with my lame attempts at witty banter and an endless stream of school day anecdotes with Gavin (stepfather/school chum).

Wedding photography at The Priory Barns, Little Wymondley | Kathryn & Kris | Sneak peek

Another sneak peek, this time from Kathryn and Kris's Friday's wedding at The Priory Barns, Little Wymondley. I have been so luck with the weather of late. rain has threatened at various points but I always seem to find the window of opportunity at the right time. Touch wood (probably jinxed myself now lol)!

Another great couple that were keen to try anything to pull off what are a fab set of wedding photographs. We were even lucky enough to squeeze in a few silhouette's and a little off camera flash right at the end of my coverage.

Newborn portraits in Hertfordshire | Baby Isabella Jasmine

How Cute is She?

This is baby Isabella Jasmine, new daughter to Nicola and Michael and sister to little Leon. She is a gorgeous little sleepy head, and at sixteen days old was just on the cusp of being able to get these shots.

I photographed Nicola and Michael's wedding day at the fabulous Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey a couple of years or so ago and now have had the pleasure of photographing both of their newborns. I love this part of the job, where you see two young people grow from a 'family' of two into three, then four and maybe.......? :-)

Coltsfoot Country Retreat wedding photography, Datchworth | Claire & Chris |

Wow! It Has been sooo long since I posted anything. What a busy summer it has been, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have so many weddings and portraits to blog I really do not know where to begin! In future I promise, promise to try and keep up to date with posting on my blog. I hope I am forgiven :-)

Anyway....back to the present!

Here are a few images from Claire and Chris's wedding at the quaint and very picturesque Coltsfoot Country Retreat, that can be found just outside the small village of Datchworth, in Hertfordshire. I say wedding at Coltsfoot, but they did have a church ceremony at St John's in High Cross first, followed by a reception at Coltsfoot. Get it right Phil!

Claire was a picture of calmness when I arrived for her prep shots. The hair and make-up were all running on time, which was great, and she looked absolutely stunning when she put on her gown. Chris looked very dapper when I met him at the church and he too seemed very together.

Great couple, great venue and great wedding. It was a pleasure to work with you guys and I hope you like your pictures. I am very happy. So much so that I have added quite a few images to this post.....so enjoy!
